Chevrolet Cruze com motor diesel chega aos EUA em 2013

Modelo foi o veículo de passeio mais vendido nos EUA em junho. Versão diesel já é comercializada no mercado europeu.

Automóvel de passeio mais vendido em junho nos Estados Unidos, o Chevrolet Cruze ganhará uma versão com motor a diesel no mercado norte-americano a partir de 2013. Esta configuração do modelo já é comercializada na Europa. O Cruze chega ao Brasil no quarto trimestre do ano, apenas com propulsor bicombustível (álcool e gasolina).

Foram emplacados 24.896 unidades do Cruze em junho nos EUA – foi o quinto mês consecutivo que o modelo vende mais de 20 mil carros.

A estreia que ninguém esperava – assim pode se definir a primeira acelerada deste Chevrolet Camaro tipo dragster no Brasil. O bólido de arrancada foi importado dos Estados Unidos e foi à pista pela primeira vez no último domingo (17), no Autódromo Velopark, em Nova Santa Rita (RS), durante etapa do Campeonato Gaúcho de Arrancada. Porém, um acidente logo no aquecimento dos pneus impediu que o carro acelerasse uma só vez nos 402 metros da pista, segundo informações do site Dragster Brasil.
Desenvolvido pelo norte-americano Kart Damron, o carro foi pilotado pelo próprio criador da obra, que não se acostumou com a pista brasileira. Ele perdeu a direção logo no primeiro aquecimento de pneus, a frente do carro foi de encontro ao muro e ficou bastante danificada. Até mesmo a porta ao lado do motorista se abriu após o impacto.
”O piloto saiu do trilho de borracha, onde os carros arrancam. Aí fica difícil de segurar. Com poucos carros de grande porte durante esta etapa, o trilho contribuiu para este acidente”, explica o editor do site Dragster Brasil, Fabio Felix Pascoal. O bólido feito para as pistas ostenta sob o capô um motor V8 Big Block capaz de render até 2.700 cv de potência (ou 36 vezes a potência de um Fiat Uno 1.0).
Nos Estados Unidos, o carro já cruzou os 402 m em apenas 6 segundos, a uma velocidade de 350 km/h. Agora é esperar a reforma para saber do que o cupê será capaz em solo brasileiro. Tudo indica que sim, já que rumores da indústria apontam que a versão ZL1 do clássico americano poderá render mais de 577 cavalos. Tudo isso para enfrentar o ganho de força de seu principal concorrente, o Ford Shelby GT500, que cravou 550 cv com seu motor V8 5.4.

Embora o Camaro ZL1 já tenha sido apresentado no Salão de Chicago deste ano, os números do seu motor continua mantido em segredo. A única coisa revelada pela GM é a possiblidade do V8 6.2 da marca ultrapassar os 557 cv de potência. Mas a disputa não deverá acabar tão cedo... pouco após o lançamento do novo Camaro, previsto para este semestre, o público deverá ficar sabendo qual será a potência do Ford Shelby GT500 2013. Tudo indica para mais de 620 cv, gerados pelo V8 5.8 da marca. A briga vai continuar boa.
